Agility Foundation & Short Course Classes:

Foundation Agility One Class:
Instructor: Diane Harrington 6 Weeks $150

Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm: 2/28, 3/14, 3/28, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18                                                                                             New Semester Starts: 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30
This class is designed for puppies at least 5 months of age or adult dogs who have had no previous agility training.
Dogs should have the following basic obedience skills: sit, down, recalls to side and stay.
Skills Covered: Developing handler focus when other dogs are working. Clicker training: two on two off, peanut ball & balance board work, Target training, Recalls to side, Restrained recalls, Come to hand work for crosses on the flat, and around standards, sends around standards. Also introduced in this session, chute, tunnels and some lowered Contacts such as Teeter between tables

Foundation Agility Two Class:

Wednesday 7:00 - 8:00pm: 4/11, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16                                                                                                   New Semester Starts: 5/23, 5/30, 6/6, 6/13, 6/20, 6/27                                                                                                   
This class is a continuation of the above class. Lowered contact training will continue. Other low impact obstacles will be introduced, chutes, curved tunnels, low tire jump. Start line stays with Recalls to side and snds around jump standards. Crosses on the flat and through jump standards will also be covered. Two by two weave entrance training will begin and those dogs that are  physically mature enough will continue towards 6 weave poles. Very short Sequencing will be introduced.Dogs should have the following basic obedience skills required: sit, down, recalls to side, stay, and handler focus when other dogs are working.

Foundation Agility One Class:

Short Course Work:

Thursdays 8:30 - 9:30pm: To Be Annouced...                                                                                        This class is for young dogs that have been through Agility Foundation One & Two. In this class, dogs will be introduced to all agility obstacles including weaves and all contact equipment and will start putting short sequences designed to build confidence and speed together. This class will combine jumping skills, contact equipment and weaves in short sequences. Other skills
introduced: sends, 180's, serpentines and pinwheels. Weave training will continue and all spread jumps will be introduced...broad, double and triple. This class will start with lowered contacts, gradually raising them. The goal will be towards contacts going to full height and weave guides will start to be removed as needed. Classes are 1 hour long for 5 or less dogs. 6 dogs with a limit of 8
dogs we will increase to 1&1/2 hour class.

Thursdays 7:30 - 8:30pm: This class is an ongoing class. Walk-ins are welcome when class size permits. Cost is $25.00 to Walk-in. Please email us for availability.                                                    This class is for novice dogs that have completed the Short Course work class and are on full height Contacts. In this class, dogs will be introduced to all agility obstacles required for competition. Course work will be designed to help build speed and confidence. This class will continue to combine jumping skills, contact equipment and weaves in slightly longer sequences in preparation for competition. Other skills introduced: sends, 180's, serpentines and pinwheels. Weave training will continue and all spread jumps will be introduced...broad, double and triple. Classes are 1 hour long for 5 or less dogs. 6 dogs with a limit of 8 dogs we will increase to 1&1/2 hour class.

Short Course Work/Proofing Skills:

This class is for dogs that have completed Foundation Agility Training, All obstacle training and working full height contacts. The purpose of this class is to focus from dog training to sequencing. A closer look into Qs and timing and exploring various handling skills. Also covered, Weave pole independence and speed and of course, contact proofing continues. 
Handlers will walk two short courses 6-7 obstacles each containing two handling skills.  

Novice/Open Competition Class:
Mondays: 9:30-11:00am
Mondays: 6:00 -7:00pm

Walk-ins are welcome for 20.00 when class size permits.

This class is for novice/open level dogs that have completed Foundation one & two and Short Course Class or their equivalent. This class is designed to help dogs prepare for competition. Courses will include, all the equipment & skills the novice/open level dog will see in competition. This class will combine jumping skills, contact equipment and weaves in slightly longer more technical sequences than our beginner Novice and Short Course class. Classes are 1 hour long for 5 or less dogs. 6 dogs with a limit of 8 dogs we will increase to 1&1/2 hour class.

All Levels Competition Class:
Mondays 11:00-12:30am
Mondays   7:00 - 8:30pm

Class structure will be two longer technical skills. Theses skills are designed for proofing dog training skills and more technical handling. Students will run a skill and the instructor will make suggestions to improve efficiency and may ask the student to redo part of the skill if needed. Student will then run entire skill again. Once first skill is completed student will move on to the second skill. The skills are designed with more than one pass through equipment, Such as weaves in both directions, contacts in two directions, either end of tunnels on same skill etc. 
Theses classes are popular and are managed through an email distribution list.
