Obedience Classes with Diane Harrington

Beginner Obedience: 6 Weeks $150.00 
Tuesdays 6:00-7:00pm Dates
: 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3
New Semester Starts:
This class is for puppies who are at least 5 months of age or have completed Puppy Kindergarten. Socialization will continue with more focus on Obedience skills. 
Skills to be covered in this class: heeling, stay, sit, down, and come. 
This is a good class for Adult dogs who have never been in a class before.
This class may be split between Puppies and Adult dogs if enrollment is large enough.
 
Advanced Beginner Obedience: 6 Weeks $150.00
Mondays 6:30-7:30pm Class Dates:  
2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2
New Semester Starts: To Be Annouced
This class is for puppies who are at least 6 months of age or have completed Beginners Obedience. Class will begin to focus on more advanced Obedience skills. Skills to be covered in this class: heeling, longer stays, sits & downs. This is a good class for adult dogs who have never been in class before. Class may be split between puppies and adult dogs if enrollment is large enough. 
 
Novice Competition Obedience: 6 Weeks $150.00
Wednesday 11:00-12:00pm Dates: To be announced.
This class is designed for the owner who wishes to continue more formal training and show their dog in Obedience competition. This course will focus on teaching the dog and handler the skills needed for an AKC Companion Dog Title. (CD) 
Skills covered: Formal heeling on and off leash, formal recalls to front, (finish) return to heel from front, stand stays for exam, heeling figure eights and group stays. 

Open Competition Obedience: 6 Weeks $150.00
Wednesday 12:00-1:00pm To be announced.
This class is designed for those who wish to continue to the next level of Obedience competition. This course will focus on teaching the dog and handler the skills needed for an AKC Companion Dog Excellent Title. (CDX) 
Skills covered: Dumbbell Retrieves, Broad Jump, High Jump, out of sight Group Stays, and Drop on Recalls will be covered. The Open and Utility classes may be combined. 

Utility Competition Obedience: 6 Weeks $150.00
Wednesday 1:00-2:00pm To be announced.
This class is designed for the owner who wishes to continue to the advanced level of Obedience competition. This course will focus on teaching the dog and handler the skills needed for an AKC Utility Dog Title. (UD) 
Skills introduced at this level: Scent Articles, Signal Exercises, Directed Jumping, Go Outs, and Moving Stand. The Open and Utility classes may be combined, if the enrollment is low. In which case, this class will start at 12:00 noon.

This is a combined class. skills covered will include exercises needed for both Open & Utility.This class is designed for the owner who wishes to continue to the next level of Obedience competition. This course will focus on teaching the dog and handler the skills needed for an AKC Companion Dog Excellent Title.
